HUNTINGTON — From a weight standpoint, Damien Dozier is strong-safety size in a lot of major-college football programs. But at Marshall, that is not going to happen.
Dozier has been a defensive end, a strong-side linebacker and a hybrid of the two. But as he enters his sophomore season, he’s a D-end and that’s probably that.
From a numbers standpoint, that seems to be a logical move. The Herd has a larger group of linebackers, with newcomers Juwon Young, Donyae Moody and Artis Johnson on board. (Young sat out last year as a transfer from Miami.) Jaquan Yulee is expected to debut in the fall.
