HUNTINGTON — A few weeks ago, when Marshall suffered two double-digit losses in a row, it was natural to wonder if the Thundering Herd was affected by the Jan. 24 resignation of assistant coach Chris Duhon.
Looking back, after the Herd broke a streak that hit three losses, players and coach Dan D’Antoni confirmed that yes, there was an effect.
The effect was at least two-pronged. First, there was the emotional standpoint, the shock to the system. D’Antoni, who had coached or coached with Duhon for six years, felt it the most.
But players also had their emotional attachment.
