Conference USA’s upcoming television contract is not expected to be out of this world, but there will be an international flavor to it.
BeIN Sports, a Qatar-based global conglomerate of sports channels aiming to establish a beachhead in U.S. college sports, will be the fourth network in the league’s new TV deal. BeIN’s U.S. channel will follow the ESPN empire, CBS Sports Network and American Sports Network in the pecking order.
BeIN will carry 10 football, 10 men’s basketball and 10 women’s basketball games, plus 40-50 contests in other sports live.
BeIN is carried on Comcast’s sports digital tier (Channel 639) in the Huntington area, but is not on Suddenlink in the Kanawha Valley.
