Jessica Andrade rallied to defeat Rose Namajunas by knockout in the second round Saturday night to become the new UFC women's strawweight champion.
The fight was the main event of UFC 237 in Rio de Janeiro.
Andrade weathered several punches from Namajunas in the first round but kept charging forward. Toward the end of the second round, she picked Namajunas up and slammed her head to the canvas, knocking her out cold at 2 minutes, 58 seconds.
Namajunas (9-4) was making the second defense of the belt she won at UFC 217 on November 2017, when she knocked out Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the first round.
