Marshall’s 11th-hour recruiting season got off to a rousing start Friday as the Thundering Herd landed a big-time commitment from Virginia’s Hampton Roads area.
Jaquan Yulee of Chesapeake, Virginia, had previously committed to Alabama, but decommitted earlier this month. Friday afternoon, he announced on Twitter: “I’m 100% sure Marshall is the place for me.”
Listed at 6-foot, 250 pounds, Yulee generally receives four stars from the recruiting-oriented web sites. He is ranked ninth among the nation’s inside linebackers by 247 Sports.
He says on his Twitter profile he hails from Suffolk, Virginia, but has played his last two years at Indian River in nearby Chesapeake.
