Wichita State’s Landry Shamet Will Miss 12-16 Weeks With A Broken Foot

Related Topics: Stress fracture

On Saturday, CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander reported (and got confirmation and quotes) that Wichita State Shockers guard Landry Shamet had suffered a stress fracture in his right foot and would miss the next 12 to 16 weeks as he recovers from surgery.

Why is this on a Marquette Golden Eagles website, you ask? Well, the Golden Eagles have a possible second round matchup against Wichita State in the Maui Invitational on November 21st. 12 weeks of recovery from the surgery on Monday, July 31, takes us up to October 23rd.
