After falling to No. 10 Creighton last night, Marquette volleyball had a straight-set victory over the Providence Friars (25-18, 25-19, 25-15) Saturday at the Al McGuire Center.
“We knew that we had to come out with a lot of heart,” freshman defensive specialist Katie Schoessow said. “We knew it was a new day, so we pushed forward and got better as we went along. That’s why we take every single match seriously, point by point, game by game.”
The Golden Eagles were sloppy in the first set, as 11 of Providence’s 18 points stemmed from Marquette errors.
