I'd probably have to do a lot of cajoling and convincing to get anyone to believe that Marquette's men's and women's basketball seasons could be labelled a 100% success. With final records of 20-13 and 14-16 respectively, and no postseason appearances between them, I can't even necessarily give the whole enterprise a blind thumbs up.
There were, however, a number of bright spots and reasons for optimism for the future of both programs.
Both the men's and women's basketball record books were drastically re-written this season, with multiple players on both squads forcing their way into the conversation as some of the best players to ever pull on a blue and gold uniform.
