Isabelle Spingola continued her electrifying shooting from Saturday afternoon on Monday night at the McGuire Center as #19 Marquette knocked off Binghamton, 93-40. Spingola went wild behind the three-point line to connect on eight of her 10 long range attempts and tied the program record for made threes in a game that was previously set by Courtney Weibel in 2010 and then tied by Natisha Hiedeman against Dayton in the NCAA tournament last season.
Spingola’s big night didn’t even start until the second half, where Marquette led 43-24 in exactly the kind of half you’d think you’d see between a ranked team that likes to run against a team that lost by 50 to the #2 team in the country approximately 28 hours earlier.
