The women’s basketball team will face a familiar foe in the BIG EAST Championship game Tuesday night at Wintrust Arena in Chicago as the Golden Eagles are set for a rematch of last year’s championship game against DePaul.
In last year’s game, it was the Golden Eagles who edged the Blue Demons 76-68 in thrilling fashion. The top two seeds and BIG EAST heavyweights are set to meet once again with another conference crown and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
Tipoff is at 6:00 p.m. on FS1.
BLOCKTON LOOKS TO CONTINUE TOURNAMENT TEAR
Marquette (23-19, 15-3 in BIG EAST) reached the championship with a win over Butler on Sunday and a 76-70 semifinal victory over Creighton Monday night.
