One of Marquette soccer’s most prolific scorers has finally found a home.
C. Nortey officially signed with Akademisk Boldklub, a team in the Danish First Division, after the Ghanaian-born striker trained with the team for five weeks.
“It feels good. Has definitely been a long time coming,” Nortey told GoMarquette.com.
“Even though it took some time, I knew he would eventually be a professional soccer player as well as a graduate of Marquette University. I’m so proud,” Marquette head coach Louis Bennett told GoMarquette.com. “He’s a hard-worker and after what he was able to do at Marquette, it’s hugely important for him to get where he needs to go.
