AW, MAN.
After their 8-7 win over Cincinnati on Friday, Marquette women's lacrosse wasn't in charge of their own destiny any more. They were sitting at 4-3 in Big East games, but needed to find out what would happen in Saturday's Georgetown-Temple game to see if their season would continue with the program's first appearance in the Big East tournament game.
Marquette needed either a Georgetown victory or a narrow Temple win, and they didn't get it. The Owls blew the Hoyas' doors off with a 9-1 run that bridged halftime on their way to an 11-4 victory.
