It's possible that Marquette could equal their win total in Big East play from a year ago by the end of the weekend.
In head coach Carolyn Kieger's first season, the Golden Eagles went 4-14 in Big East action, with all four wins coming in the final eight games of the schedule. This year, Marquette sits at 2-5 right now and will wrap up their first pass through each of their nine league opponents this weekend with two games at the McGuire Center. I don't want to get too far out ahead of anything here, but Providence is objectively bad and Creighton has been scuffling without star guard Marissa Janning.
