Backed by 41 points from Allazia Blockton and Natisha Hiedeman, Marquette moved to 2-0 in Big East play with an 84-77 victory over Georgetown on Friday afternoon.
Georgetown took a five point lead midway through the first quarter, but that’s when things flipped in Marquette’s favor. In just a shade over two minutes, the Golden Eagles went on a 13-0 run, featuring two three-pointers from Hiedeman. That had MU up 8 at 21-13, and the lead would never get closer than four the the rest of the game.
I suppose that’s not a very exciting recap.
Well, things did get a little fun later on.
