On Saturday, Marquette women’s basketball took on a 63-55 loss to Green Bay to drop to 3-3 on the season.
On Monday, Marquette dropped out of the Associated Press top 25 poll for the first time in the 2017-18 season.
There’s a direct connection between those two statements.
Marquette still earned 13 points in the new poll, but only two voters had them on their ballots. David Cloninger of The Post And Courier out of South Carolina has MU at #22 this week, while Patricia Babcock McGraw from the Chicago-area Daily Herald is still a believer in the Golden Eagles.
