Friday night’s loss to Butler wasn’t great at all for Marquette women’s basketball. They suffered their second league loss of the year, Erika Davenport blew out her knee, and lastly, it caused them to drop in the newest Associated Press poll.
The Golden Eagles are now #13 in the country, dropping two spots from last week. In a way, that’s something of a compliment to the Big East and Butler. MU earned 356 points, which slots between #12 Iowa with 367 points and #14 South Carolina with 346 points.
Three of MU’s opponents this season are in the top 25 with them.
