On Tuesday, 247 Sports’ Evan Daniels reported that Ashton Hagans had withdrawn his verbal commitment to Georgia. Hagans is a 6’4”, 185 pound point guard in the Class of 2019, and according to 247 Sports, he’s a top 10 prospect in the class.
Once that news became public, things started moving quickly in terms of other teams checking in on Hagans. Since we’re writing about this on this website, I’m pretty sure you’ve already figured out that Marquette is one of those teams. Pat Lawless spoke with Game Elite head coach Chris Williams, and he had this to say about Hagans, who plays for that grassroots club team:
“Florida, Wake Forest, Georgetown, Boston College, Marquette, Providence and Ohio State have reached out since opening up his recruitment,” said Williams.
