I don’t trust poll voters.
Look no further than CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish and his weekly Poll Attacks column for reasons why to not trust them. Marquette volleyball was ranked #10 last week, and the Golden Eagles beat Xavier 3-1 in their only match since last week’s poll came out. Given that the Musketeers were 4-8 after that match ended, I had a weird feeling that the collective AVCA voters would decide that the Golden Eagles were not a top 10 team any longer because they lost one set.
That is not the case, as Marquette is ranked #10 in the country again this week.
