Marquette Men’s Soccer Falls Short Against #12 Virginia

Related Topics: Raheem Taylor-Parkes

Marquette men’s soccer played a highly ranked team to a standstill for 45 minutes on Tuesday night only to see things slip through their fingers after halftime. The #12 ranked Virginia Cavaliers scored less than three minutes into the second half and tacked on a late penalty kick to hand MU a 2-0 loss at Klockner Stadium in Charlottesville. Marquette is now 0-4-1 on the season.

As was the case last time out, defensive miscues cost the Golden Eagles against the Cavs. First, it was Raheem Taylor-Parkes getting free from two defenders for a close up one-on-one chance against MU keeper Luis Barraza.
