The Marquette women's basketball team blew a 17-point lead en route to a 75-72 loss to Georgetown on Friday night.
Marquette (11-12, 6-6 Big East), which was riding a five-game winning streak, had a 46-29 cushion with 1 minute 43 seconds to go in the first half. Although the Hoyas (13-9, 6-6) whittled away at the lead, MU still held a 57-47 lead after a pair of free throws by Allazia Blockton with 3 minutes to go in the third quarter.
