Brandon McKinney led the way for Marquette track and field on Friday as both the men’s and the women’s team put themselves in solid positions in the first day of the 2019 Big East Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The Marquette men are tied with Villanova for first place with seven events finished. Both teams have 76 points, with Butler posing a threat in third place with 62 points. On the women’s side, Marquette has a bit of catching up to do as they sit in second place with 41 points. Villanova leads the way there as well with 76 points after the completion of six events.
