It’s July, which means it’s time for the NBA Summer League to get started. Actually, things got started on Saturday, July 2, so let’s rewind way back there to see what everyone’s favorite former Golden Eagles got up to in the first day of action, then we’ll catch up on Day 2 as well.
Day 1
Thunder 86, Mavericks 85 - Five OKC players scored in double digits, including Cameron Payne, who had 16 points which was capped off with the game winning three pointer with 3.6 seconds left. We almost had a great moment in Marquette Summer League history as Vander Blue ended up with the ball in his hands as the clock wound to zero, but his shot at the buzzer missed.
