When Marquette took on Xavier on Jan. 16, offense didn't come easily for many of the Golden Eagles players.
Despite attempting 70 shots, its second-most in a game this season, Marquette recorded its worst single-game shooting percentage (34.3%). When it came to three-point shooting, the Golden Eagles' 4-for-25 performance was better than just one outing, when they went 1 for 11 against Seton Hall.
Although four of the eight players who attempted field goals shot 25% or worse, redshirt sophomore Duane Wilson's misfortune stood out most.
Wilson kept trying to find his stroke but never could, missing all nine of his shots in the second half on the way to shooting 2 for 15 overall, including 1 for 10 on three-pointers.
