INDIANAPOLIS -- Austin Etherington scored a career-high 18 points to lead five Bulldogs in double figures, and Butler scored its most points in a Big East game this season with a 95-74 rout over Marquette on Saturday.
Etherington's 18 points came on Senior Day in his 112th career game. Roosevelt Jones, Andrew Chrabascz and Kelan Martin scored 15 apiece for Butler (21-9, 10-8) and Kellen Dunham added 12.
The Bulldogs clinched a top-six seed and a bye into Thursday's quarterfinals in the Big East Tournament.
Butler raced to a 20-6 lead, but Marquette's Jajuan Johnson scored seven points in an 11-0 run to cut the Golden Eagles' deficit to three.
