B.J. Grill was already a BIG EAST champion. Now, he’s a Major League Lacrosse Champion too.
The former Golden Eagles lacrosse defenseman and the Denver Outlaws defeated the Ohio Machine, 19-18, Saturday night in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The Outlaws came back from a 14-7 deficit following an hour and a half lightning delay to win the franchise’s second championship. Attackman Eric Law scored the go-ahead goal with 13 seconds left.
Grill had one ground ball and one forced turnover in the game. He played in 12 games for Denver in his rookie season, 10 in the regular season and two playoff games.
