Just over 3 months since winning the Big East tournament, Grill gets a chance to hoist the MLL trophy, too.
Former Marquette defenseman B.J. Grill and the Denver Outlaws will face off with the Ohio Machine in Saturday night’s Major League Lacrosse championship game.
Denver defeated the New York Lizards one week ago in a goal-heavy 20-17 semifinal contest. The Outlaws used a four goal advantage in the second period to take the lead and played even the rest of the way against New York, which featured former Marquette defensive midfielder and new MU assistant coach Jacob Richard.
