Marquette volleyball locked up the first step of their 2018 postseason path over the weekend with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-14, 25-15, 25-17) victory over Villanova on Friday and a 3-0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-10) win at Georgetown on Saturday. With the wins, the #19 ranked Golden Eagles are now 12-2 in Big East action, and with four matches left to play, they can’t be caught by seven of the teams behind them. That guarantees a top three spot for Marquette, and thus locks in one of the four Big East tournament berths.
