Zlatan Ibrahimovic's surgeon says the Manchester Untied man is 'one of the top athletes I've ever touched', and has backed him to play 'for many years'.
Ibrahimovic injured his knee when landed awkwardly on his right knee against Anderlecht last month - curtailing a campaign that had yielded 28 goals and nine assists in 46 appearances.
But the evergreen Swede underwent a successful operation with knee specialist Dr Freddie Fu, at the University of Pittsburgh's Medical Center, to repair the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments and the doctor gave his patient a glowing report.
'I can't discuss too many details, I don't want to get in trouble with Manchester United,' said Fu in the South China Morning Post.
