Jesse Lingard says he feels 'more comfortable' in an England shirt than he does playing for his club Manchester United.
The midfielder enjoyed something of a breakthrough season at Old Trafford, scoring 13 goals in 48 games for the Red Devils.
Many expect him to play a pivotal role for the Three Lions in Russia this summer after he impressed in friendlies earlier this year.
And the 25-year-old admitted he prefers playing for the national team than Jose Mourinho's side.
He told GQ magazine: "I actually feel more comfortable when I play for England than United.
