Raul Jimenez’s promising recovery from his head injury means Wolves are likely to prioritise other areas of their team during this summer’s transfer window.
Though the Mexican will not be in competitive action again until the start of next season at the earliest – as first revealed by Sportsmail on April 8 – he has now been cleared to head the ball again after a specialist appointment this week.
As there is only one game left this season, against Manchester United on Sunday, Wolves have opted to keep Jimenez back and concentrate on having him for the 2021-22 campaign, in which club doctor Matt Perry expects he ‘will be able to play a full part’.
