Juventus desperately needed a win on Sunday night and chose not to use top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo. Eyebrows were certainly raised but Andrea Pirlo's gamble paid off.
The Turin club beat Bologna 4-1 to finish inside the top four after Napoli slipped up at home to Verona, and managed it without their star Portuguese forward who had four goals in his last four Serie A games.
Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from Juventus this summer as his contract has just over one year left to run. Reports last week claimed Manchester United are considering a Ronaldo reunion while Paris Saint-Germain reportedly remain an option too.
