'We've got good people running our club': Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fires back at Sevilla chief Monchi after he criticised Old Trafford chiefs for failing to appoint a director of football

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit back at criticism of Manchester United’s transfer policy from Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi.

United have come under fire for failing to sign Jadon Sancho or a top centre-half during the window with Monchi describing the lack of a director of football at Old Trafford as a mystery.

‘All clubs should have one. It is very difficult to understand,’ said the esteemed talent-spotter of Europa League winners Sevilla, who beat United in the semi-finals. His signings there have included Dani Alves and Ivan Rakitic, both of whom went on to Barcelona.
