Wayne Rooney is adamant that the current Premier League campaign must be allowed to reach a conclusion, and believes that Liverpool will 'deserve' their inevitable title.
The former Manchester United star lavished praise on the club's arch-rivals, who appear set to claim their first league crown in 30 years, and says that the season may even run until the end of the year once action resumes.
And after admitting that football must come secondary to the current coronavirus pandemic, Rooney labelled Liverpool 'fantastic' and stressed that it would be an injustice to prevent the club from clinching the title.
