Wayne Rooney has recounted his remarkable encounters with Donald Trump, which included a trip to the Oval Office and a 'mad' round of golf with the former US President. The former England captain visited the White House during his brief playing spell in Major League Soccer with DC United, which also coincided with Trump's term as President.
Rooney made scored 25 goals in 52 appearances in the nation's capital between July 2018 and January 2020.
But the 38-year-old also enjoyed the surreal experience of hitting the golf course with Trump, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani and the President's security detail.
