Shanghai SIPG boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has told The Sun there is "absolutely nothing" in reports linking his club with Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney.
Rooney last started a Premier League game in the 3-1 defeat at Watford on Sept. 18 and sources have told ESPN FC that Jose Mourinho is open to selling the 31-year-old, although the United boss has denied that is the case.
Rooney has regularly been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League, with Shanghai SIPG in particular touted as a potential option, but former England boss Eriksson said he is not seeking a reunion with the forward.
