Manchester United defender Phil Jones has heaped praise on the 'phenomenal' Wayne Rooney — and believes he should be embraced while he's still playing.
Rooney drew level with Sir Bobby Charlton at the top of United's goalscoring charts on Saturday after netting his 249th for the club in the FA Cup win over Reading.
And Jones, who has also been impressive for Jose Mourinho's men this season, has described his team-mate as a credit to the Old Trafford club and English football.
Speaking to United's website, he said: 'It is a tremendous achievement.
