Wayne Rooney could receive a mammoth £15million to leave Manchester United, if he leaves in the summer.
Rooney's agent is in China to discuss a potential move for the United captain to become the best-paid player in the world.
Rooney's agent Paul Stretford has just days to tie-up a deal before the Chinese Super League's transfer window closes next Tuesday.
If Rooney decides to remain until the summer before moving away United could pay up the remainder of his contract - £15.6m - according to The Times.
United are under no obligation to make the payment but Rooney is liley to receive a loyalty bonus having been at the club since 2004.
