Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs says Wayne Rooney could have a future at the club if he can accept a bit-part role.
Rooney, 31, had been expected to leave United this summer after having limited impact under Jose Mourinho last season, and has been heavily linked with moves to former club Everton or China.
However, his former teammate Giggs, who retired at 40 to become Louis van Gaal's assistant at United, said Rooney could yet have a future at Old Trafford.
"Wayne is a proven goal scorer," Giggs told Sky Sports News.
