Wayne Rooney is back in Manchester United's squad for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final second leg against Anderlecht at Old Trafford.
The United captain trained with his teammates at Carrington on Wednesday and is expected to be on the bench after missing the last four games with ankle problems.
Rooney has not appeared in Europe since United's last group tie against Zorya Luhansk in early December. Indeed, he has only played 131 minutes of football in the Premier League since scoring his club record 250th goal at Stoke in January.
Earlier on Wednesday, Jose Mourinho expressed hope that Rooney would be able to rejoin the squad against Anderlecht, but admitted that age could be catching up with the England striker.
