Watford captain Tom Cleverley has retired from football at the age of 33 due to injury.
Cleverley, who started his career at Manchester United and was capped 13 times by England, made just one league appearance for Watford last season as he spent much time on the sidelines with an Achilles problem.
Watford chairman & CEO Scott Duxbury told the club's official website: 'No one could have worked harder than Tom did to make it back from several injuries, which he's tried to do while always providing a positive force around the players.
