Michael Carrick marked his testimonial match with a decisive goal as Manchester United’s 2008 XI drew 2-2 with an All-Stars XI at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The midfielder had the final say with a fine strike in the closing stages as more than 70,000 fans watched a number of Reds legends play together again at the Theatre of Dreams.
A thumping header from Nemanja Vidic cancelled out Gaizka Mendieta’s opener before Carrick ensured his name was on the scoresheet after Robbie Keane had given the All-Stars the lead again in the second half. You can watch all four goals in our video above.
