The midfielder has thanked the Reds fans for their warmth and support during his time at Old Trafford, which started when he signed from Ajax in 2020.
Scoring a goal on his debut, against Crystal Palace, he made 36 appearances, in all competitions, during his first campaign as a Red.
In total, he played 62 times, also netting in the away game at Watford in 2021, but has had two loan spells away from the club.
In the winter window of 2022, he made a short-term transfer to Everton, finding the net in a Premier League game against Arsenal.
