United States men's national team coach Gregg Berhalter has been fired after the team's historic early exit from the Copa América group stage last week, according to multiple reports Wednesday.
Berhalter's exit comes after the United States' 1-0 loss to Uruguay, marking the first time in the history of the country's five appearances in the CONMEBOL event that the United States has failed to advance out of the group stage.
It was also the first time that the USMNT was eliminated from the group stage of a World Cup, Copa América or Gold Cup that it hosted.
