United's FA Cup replay record at home

The last time the Reds failed to progress at home after a draw on the road was back in January 1992, when Alex Ferguson's team battled back from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw with Southampton. Andrei Kanchelskis pulled a goal back, after a young Alan Shearer had put the visitors 2-0 up, before Brian McClair scored a 90th-minute equaliser to force extra-time.

The Saints won 4-2 on penalties on our first experience of a shoot-out in the competition, with Neil Webb and Ryan Giggs failing from the spot, and Tim Flowers emerging as the hero.
