When then-Arsenal striker Robin van Persie’s 96th-minute leveller was correctly disallowed for offside, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger kicked a water bottle in frustration and was ordered from the dugout by referee Mike Dean. Instead of leaving, he climbed on to the space between the dugouts and – despite knowing where to go – stood shrugging at his censors, thrilling Old Trafford and its assembled army of photographers.
