‘Toone 7’ has become a regular sight on matchdays and Ella recently featured in an adidas film about the shirt, alongside David Beckham, Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson and her childhood idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
While Ella’s main aim to achieve success on the pitch within Marc Skinner’s team, the adidas campaign was a significant moment in her flourishing career.
It also underlined the importance of female role models for young girls around the world, who could previously only look up to male players – and who couldn’t wear the shirts of their female heroes.
