The film is entitled The Firefighter, and is based around a poem written by fireman Ricky Nuttall, who entered the ill-fated building three times on that tragic day in 2017.
The production is part of a project entitled Grenfell Voices, a registered charity, and is a moving exploration of the disaster's traumatic legacy.
Ricky and the film's director, Roy Khalil – both of whom are keen Reds – are in Manchester this weekend to promote the film, which will be shown at Odeon Manchester Great Northern on Saturday 9 March at 1pm.
The pair visited Old Trafford as guests of Manchester United on Friday afternoon, and you can hear them speak about the the film and why football has a central role in it by watching their MUTV interview below.
