The 42-year-old is the latest addition to Erik ten Hag's staff this summer, and arrives from Norwegian side Lillestrom, where he has been head coach since January of this year.

Georgson earlier had a stint as caretaker boss of Malmo, in his native Sweden, and has extensive coaching experience in England, having worked at Brentford, Arsenal and Southampton.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy had joined the club, as first-team assistant managers.

Jelle ten Rouwelaar has also come on board as a goalkeeping coach, and the trio have been working hard with the rest of the staff to prepare the squad for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.
