The design of the 2024/25 home kit, which is available to buy here now, attracts attention under the glare of the Old Trafford lights, via a myriad of red shades creating a unique glow effect.
It takes inspiration from a shirt worn by the Busby Babes in 1952. This was made from reflective materials to aid visibility on the pitch, in the early years of evening games being played under floodlights.
Bold combinations of red have been blended to form a light to dark red gradient, running down the main body of the shirt – giving the appearance of an ever-changing colour.
