Attacking midfielder McCann, who also scored a great goal in Monday's 3-1 defeat at Everton, finally beat Southampton's in-form goalkeeper Jack Bycroft in the 83rd and 85th minutes.

The result completes a home and away double over the Saints, who were beaten 3-1 at Leigh Sports Village before Christmas.
